    LANGUAGE DEPARTMENTS

    We offer English, Kiswahili, French, Spanish, Chinese, Gikuyu, Dholuo and Ekegusii. Classes are small and personal. TLC recognizes that there are many obstacles which might interfere with the learning of a language. Some students feel self-conscious about their level of education or lack of it, some lack confidence in their ability to learn at an advanced age. Some can speak but cannot read or write in that language. These insecurities and concerns cannot be ignored, as the learning progress is greatly hindered by tension and worry. TLC creates a non-threatening environment where these obstacles are reduced or removed. The students are made to feel comfortable and all inhibitions that the students might have are non-existent within the classroom.
